Francisca Hoyer is Strategic Program Manager at the national center for applied artificial intelligence in Sweden. She co-leads the Natural Language Initiative that builds high-quality large language models for the Swedish language. The focus is currently on GPT-SW3, the first truly large-scale generative language model in Sweden.
NorwAI Forum - the internal sharing event kicks off
The NorwAI Forum, a regular internal meetingpoint for the eight workpackages at NorwAI, was kicked off recently by NorwAI director Jon Atle Gulla. The forum is about sharing within and across workpackages and disciplines, between partners and researchers. Eventually, the Forum leads up to NorwAI Innovate, NorwAI's external dissimination event in November where works will be presented.
Finding unknown anomalis
As an example of sharing at NorwAI Forum, PhD candidate David Baumgartner presented his work on detecting anomalis in time series - an actively discussed topic. David is currently working with Telenor in their ongoing research for next generation 6G networks.
