| Welcome to the first Partner Program newsletter! |
Welcome to the first Partner Program newsletter. As you see, the partner program team is growing. I am now full-time at dScience after the end of the SIRIUS Centre and Nilla Karlsen-Davies has started as External Engagements Advisor.
We are now working to build up the support systems we need to ensure that the program works well and meets your needs. – David Cameron, External Engagement Manager, dScience Partner Program |

Highlights of the last month have included the successful submission of TwinEnergy, a proposal for an FME: a research centre for environment-friendly energy. If this is successful, we will have created a centre that can provide research capabilities in our Risk and Asset Management themes. We also participated in the concluding seminars for the BigInsight and SIRIUS SFIs (SFI = Centre for Research-based Innovation) and the kick-off for the Integreat SFF (Centre of Excellence).
Definition of an AIS in health has come to an advanced stage and will start in the new year. Laura Slaughter is preparing a position paper on data science in health that will provide a high-quality assessment of the needs in this area. This week we received the signed agreement from Oslo City Council as a new partner from January.
We are particularly pleased that we are collaborating with NORA to create a Thematic Working Group on AI Safety and the EU AI act. This was kicked off in November with an invitation-only seminar held at NUPI. This provided an opportunity for our partners to interact with NUPI’s network of governmental and regulatory actors. This will be followed up in the new year with the possibility of a fact-finding trip for our partners to the United Kingdom. As we enter December, we are concluding winding up the activities for this year. Key personnel are taking holidays and we are planning activities for 2024. We wish you and your colleagues a Merry Christmas and look forward to our collaboration in 2024. |
